Haryana MBBS Seat Matrix 2026 covers a total of 2810 MBBS seats across 17 medical colleges, including 1060 seats in 8 Government Medical Colleges and 1750 seats in 9 Private Medical Colleges. In Government Colleges, 15% goes to All India Quota (MCC) and 85% to Haryana State Quota (DMER). In UHS-affiliated Private Colleges, 50% State Quota + 50% Management (with 15% NRI inside management). State Quota follows Haryana State Reservation Policy with SC, SC Deprived, BC-A, BC-B, EWS, PWBD, ESM and FF categories.

The Haryana MBBS Seat Matrix 2026 covers 17 medical colleges with a total intake of 2810 MBBS seats. The distribution is governed by the Haryana Government Gazette Notification No. 16/10/2024-6HB-IV dated 08.08.2025 issued by the Medical Education and Research Department. Counselling is conducted by Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak under the supervision of DMER Haryana.

In Government Medical Colleges, 15% of seats are assigned to the All India Merit Category of NEET UG (filled through MCC counselling) and the remaining 85% of seats to the Haryana State Merit Category (filled through DMER state counselling). In Private Medical/Dental Institutions affiliated to UHS Rohtak, 50% seats are State Quota and 50% seats are Management Category, with 15% of Management seats reserved for the NRI Category.

Haryana State Reservation Policy for MBBS 2026

The Haryana State Reservation Policy applies to all State Quota seats in Government/Government Aided Medical Colleges and to 50% State Quota seats in Private Colleges affiliated to UHS Rohtak. The reservation categories include:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): As per Haryana Government Notification
  • SC Deprived: Per Haryana Government Notification dated 15.05.2020
  • Backward Class A (BC-A): Per Haryana Government Notification dated 16.07.2024
  • Backward Class B (BC-B): Per Haryana Government Notification dated 16.07.2024
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10% per Notification dated 25.02.2019 (family income below Rs. 6 lakh)
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD): 5% horizontal reservation per RPwD Act, 2016

PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) Reservation

5% of State Quota seats are reserved for candidates with Benchmark Disabilities in accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The Disability Certificate must be issued by designated Disability Centres notified by NTA in the Prospectus for NEET 2026 OR by the Medical Board constituted by PGIMS, Rohtak. The decision of the PGIMS Rohtak Medical Board is final.

EWS Reservation

EWS Quota is provided per the actual number of EWS seats granted by NMC and approved by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Eligibility: family gross annual income below Rs. 6 lakh, not owning 5+ acres of agricultural land, residential flat of 1000 sq.ft. or above, residential plot of 100 sq.yd. (notified municipalities) or 200 sq.yd. (other areas), and total immovable assets below Rs. 1 crore. Income and Asset Certificate must be issued by the Tehsildar of the area.
